Sermon Recap for September 24, 2017
Faithfulness results in mature worship and works for the glory of God, and warfare against Satan.
Witnessing to the Lost
We can reach others better if we continue to grow in faith and maturity.
Pastor Gambo taught from Hebrews as we started a new series called “Who are We?” Hebrews 10:19-25 reads:
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Growing in Maturity
Maturity requires that we respond to God in worship. We should crave this worship. Maturity requires that we respond to Satan in warfare. Maturity requires that we respond in works.
How can we respond to God in worship?
- with an undivided heart
- full/assured faith -clean/pure hearts/bodies
- unwavering trust
- fixing our eyes on Christ
There are two types of people in your community: saved and unsaved people. Draw others on with unconditional love, bringing them into Fellowship with God.
We are thankful for another evening of worship together.
Regardless of where you are in life, we would love for you to visit us at Omni. This is where we gather.
